You don't really need RAID 0 unless you do a lot of data transfer or video encoding etc (or maybe combined HDD space in 1 'drive'). You cannot improve seek time by running RAID 0.
Exactly, I tried on my two 320GB 7200.11 and two WD6400AAKS, file transfer is very fast but seek time doesn't improve at all. At least I can't feel any improvement during normal usage. Not to mention it's a PITA to back up stuffs if something is about to go wrong (1.2TB of stuffs if you RAID0 WD6400AAKS ) Never store your precious loli videos in it
Yes it improves on transfer speed on raid 0, not seek times.. if something goes wrong with a drive .. u r screwed...
