Acer Aspire One

  1. Three of the chips are blackened to the point where you can't read the white labels printed on them. Fairly good indication, yes?

  3. Yes. So I need a whole new motherboard. Upside, its easy to replace. Downside, It's expensive and I don't have the money right now. So I'll just have to deal.

    Oh, another problem showed up last night. Within my power cord's input jack, there's a broken wire or two where the cort goes into the jack. So I need a new power cord too.

    Wow.. IMHO, it would be cheaper to just junk the Aspire One and get a new netbook. You can still salvage one memory SO-DIMM and the hard disk drive or SSD.
