mine are just a low end system.. even an AMD 64 matching with 5950 ultra will be just a mid range system.. you want a high end system? go and get AMD 64 FX-53 and 6800 ultra with 2 gig of ram then you'll get high end system.. damn my pc just a piece of crap to this game.. source: pc gamer latest issue
Been playing CS:S @ 1024x768 on max settings with 4xAA/8xAF and getting 70 FPS. I'm way ready. P4 3.0C @ 3.3 GHz - hoping to go higher 1 GB DDR PC3200 - dual channel 128MB ATi 9800 Pro modded to XT, stock XT speeds
I just happened to have 2 sticks of DDR400 512 Kingston ValueRAM around. So i popped them in my mobo, rejigged the timings, and they work great with my Mushkins, also DDR400. So there, 2 gigs And guess what? They use Hynix HY5DU56822BT-D43 chips, which are the same ones used on high-end Corsair and OCZ RAM Which means they can do upwards of FSB250
Hopefully mine's ready... At least for low detail. I can get average 20-30 fps in CS-Source with everything at high detail (no AA/AF though) at 1024x768... I doubt HL2 will be as forgiving although they use the same engine... The physics/objects/landscape/AI in HL2 will be overpowering.
if dx9 sux, then u may go with dx8 paht.. aiya no need worry la... valve isn't that stupid ..they wouldn't develop a game solely for dx9 platform....else they would earn goat's hair..
