I think the old guy was "f***ing with the young guy", By asking him to spit-shine his shoes (ie, the same as asking him if he wants to "pick some cotton" (slavery referance) as he walked by him as he got on the bus. The old guy is racist a**h***. The young guy with his pride 'took the bait' and had to make a stand... (should have known better)... "Pride Cometh Before a Fall"
IMO, hard to take a stand when we don't know what transpired before the recording started. For the life of me I couldn't figure out what the black guy was saying at the end though. Sounded like "green m&ms, green m&ms"
