I'm ok with any day actually. Just let me know in advanced so I won't plan for anything around that time.
1.eve 2.sherwin But please make it around (at least) 6.30pm onwards because I have class till 6.00pm. It'll probably take me about half an hour to sometimes an hour before I can get home.
Shouldn't we do it when everyone can make it? Isn't it more important for everyone to attend the dinner, rather than making it within the CNY period? I don't mind doing it later, but I'm not too sure if we can low sang after CNY though.
but what's the point of having a cny gathering when it's not during cny and there's no yee sang to low?
It's about everyone having dinner together. Yee sang is a recent 'in' thing. 10 years ago, yee sang was almost a never heard of dish. If I'm not mistaken, it was started my Malaysian too. Well, it's just my suggestion. I personally prefer eating with everyone, rather than just because of a dish and celebrating it during CNY. Just like how I don't believe in V day.
Yeah, it was invented by a Malaysian who had NBTD. The symbolism was interesting though... that's why it became so popular. Anyway, I don't mind having it later. But if we wanna do it this weekend, I think best do it on Saturday instead of Friday, since some of us will have to rush back from work/study/mistress...
