Are they popular in MY? I just made my first homemade batch and completely forgot to take pictures. Recipe was simple: Crab, wonton, cream cheese, green onion, chopped red onion, ground pepper. I used snow crab (opilio crab). Any other's made them before?
I LOVE crab rangoon! I don't think it's a Malaysian dish though (or a chinese dish for that matter - one of those "American" chinese food). Cream cheese (or cheese itself for that matter) isn't present in any south east/east Asian foods that I've tried.
Yeah, never heard of it before. From the picture in Wikipedia, it looks like regular fried wontons, just filled with crab meat and cream cheese instead of pork.
