I suspect the old G80 had a bug or two that prevents it from working properly with games like BioShock and Crysis. If I remember correctly, NVIDIA switched to G80+ for the newer GeForce 8800 GTX, which is probably why the newer GTX cards are not affected.
Cant be. I've had both my GTX for a year now. So they are from the 1st batch. I've had no such problems. U musta had a faulty unit.
Hmm... Can't be. It works well with the other games. I'm only having problems with BioShock and Crysis. It's also not a heat-related problem since it dies within a few seconds of loading BioShock... and instantly in Crysis as soon as the menu scrolls up, whether it's with the fan at normal speed or forced to maximum speed.
LOL!! Well, it worked alright with everything else. Only those two games, no matter what driver I tried and I tried a LOT!
