Desktop CPU Comparison Guide Rev. 6.2 We have just updated the guide! There are so many CPU models that it has become quite impossible to keep up with the different models or even remember their specifications. Therefore, we decided to compile this guide to provide an easy reference for those who are interested in comparing the specifications of the various desktop CPUs in the market, as well as those already obsolescent or obsolete. Currently covering 672 desktop CPUs, this comprehensive comparison will allow you to easily compare up to 18 different specifications for each and every CPU. Here are the latest updates in Revision 6.2 :- Link : Desktop CPU Comparison Guide Rev. 6.2
Transistor count for Core i7s Transistor count for the 3 known Core i7s are 731million: www.LLY.get.to: Intel Core i7 Specifications
Yeah, I got it at the Intel press conference yesterday. Was going to update the guide with it. Thanks for the other heads-up though!

erm, I noticed Corei7 L1 cache marked as ""32K+32k x4" if Corei7s has the same amount of L1 as Core2, shouldn't all Core2 L1 be the same, instead of the current "32k x2"?
Yeah, but I'm not sure yet whether we should post both data and instruction caches, or just the data cache. Also, I'm wondering if we do post both caches, should we post them separately, or as the current 32+32 KB x 4.
Guys, regarding the E2180 - I think there's a Conroe version as I do come by some people stating that their E2180 readings says Conroe.
I can only find info on the Q9300 but it is rated as a 95w proc... I strongly suspect the Q92 and Q91 are also. As opposed to 35w. EDIT: Well no wonder I can't find anything on the Q9100 it's a different socket... a 45w laptop CPU based on the Intel link below. So 45w and not LGA775 or desktop.. Intel® Core™2 Quad Mobile Processor Q9100 - SLB5G Still can't find anything on a Q9200 quad. BTW... this guide is GREAT! Finally a single place with all the good stuff.
Damn... I thought they are desktop parts. No wonder I could not find them even in the internal Intel roadmaps...
Standardize, Yes Current 32+32 KB x 4, works for me but splitting out would also work. But dropping the instruction cache info... well that one don't sit so well.

Hmm.. I'm thinking of splitting the instruction cache info out but I will have to check if there's enough space. Also, I will need to find out the sizes of the instruction caches in the older processors.
Desktop CPU Comparison Guide Rev. 6.5 There are so many CPU models that it has become quite impossible to keep up with the different models or even remember their specifications.
