Desktop CPU Comparison Guide Rev. 6.7

There are so many CPU models that it has become quite impossible to keep up with the different models or even remember their specifications.

Therefore, we decided to compile this guide to provide an easy reference for those who are interested in comparing the specifications of the various desktop CPUs in the market, as well as those already obsolescent or obsolete.

Currently covering 693 desktop CPUs, this comprehensive comparison will allow you to easily compare up to 18 different specifications for each and every CPU.

Here are the latest updates in Revision 6.7 :-

    .....................................................
IF VT = Virtualization Technology... The released 8400s support this also despite early rumors/engineering samples.

Also on the Q9xxx quads... don't think this changes anything but I'm running an optimized BOINC app (Milkyway) that is compiled using SSE4.1 flag on. Works on Q9300, Q9400, Q9550s despite the fact that the listed support says SSE4 and the i7 lists SSE4.2. I'm assuming SSE4.1 must be fully complaint with SSE4.

Thanx! :D I've been lurking a bit but work got real intense half way thru last year. Slowed down again now. In fact... maybe a bit too slow.

BTW.... I meant that "8400s" to be the plural of "8400" not the new "s" models.
