I agree with what Dashken and angel said, I think it's merely an influence; how it affects you will depend on your personality. I've heard some opinions on the matter and it is true that porn does have the ability to unleash the suppressed demons in some people. However, as with the video game violence argument, the main problem usually runs deeper than that. I think a lot also depends on the kind of material you watch. Some "experts" claim that porn gradually numbs your brain and makes you go on to more obscene stuff like rape and snuff videos, etc. Obviously this progression does not hold true for many people but I suppose it could be the case for those who commit sexual offences
Personally, I think if you have an urge to rape and wish to carry out that act, nothing is going to stop you. Whether you get to watch porn or not is immaterial. Rape, for example, is a crime that is as old as mankind. It existed centuries before porn was ever invented. So, personally, I don't think porn causes rapes. There are people who argue that porn ENCOURAGES rapes and other sex crimes. But again, it's hard to prove both sides of the argument. I'm just wondering if porn can actually be the cure, instead of the cause...

I don't go to pr0n sites but long time ago my parents suspected me of doing that when - When I have a dial-up connection. No firewall. No spyware-removal stuff. My comp's a Sitting duck of all the attacks. As usual, all these stuff downloaded discreetly by these stupid spyware and malware. So my pa turned it on and to his horror, "Aaaargh! You surf pr0n sites!" he said when he saw all the IE being hijacked. And even the search bar is infected as well. I nonchalantly said, "No-lah. If I want to see it I will have my very own computer and do it without your knowledge... Anyway, too lazy to surf 'em also..." That is also a good excuse for me to tell him about upgrading to Streamyx connection so I can buy a router with firewall and all the safety features that prevents all the stuff from coming... [Before that he was reluctant and refused to change the connection]
actually oh, he's been using the same clothing for a few days liaw.. there's just so many times u can turn ur underwear inside out..
I'm sure it's not wrong to enter pr0n sites. But the worst thing is, these spywares, malwares, trojans and all the other viruses are always crawling in there. My 2 best friends got that trojan NOT because of they are doing that, but one of his friends lend him the thumbdrive, stick it in the comp and the next thing is the whole computer become haywire. That friend of my friend must have did all the torrenting and the filesharing all the naughty stuff and got these trojans.
you dont need to do notty stuff to get trojan ;p anything illegal can easily make you infested with trojan like finding for trainers/hacks for games or illegal file sharing ;p some trojans/spyware copies themselves into shared folders of file sharing like dc++ with names like keygen/crack/porn or anything commonly searched for by ppl.
