Nope. Orthos only test 8k FFT while Prime95 25.3 test different FFT sizes and supports multithreading also.
Eh, I thought Orthos also test lotsa FFT sizes? no? Or you meant not supposed to use Blend and supposed to use small FFT to stress the CPU? http://forums.techarp.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=20706&d=1182561048
Blend is not the best for fullest stressing CPU. Orthos only stress the CPU using 8k FFT size, while Prine95 will test many different small FFTs.
I actually read about someone who actually got his overclocked processor to run on Orthos for many hours, but failed Prime95 within one or two hours no matter how many times he tried.
Are you sure it only tests 8k FFT length? Here's a screenshot of SP2004, I think should be the same as Orthos.
Chai looks like you are right, it only tests 8k FFT on my E6850, check the two screenshots below. But why does it tests different FFT length on my A64?
This is the testing settings on Orthos: Type: Blend - stress CPU and RAM Min: 8 Max: 4096 InPlace: No Mem: 1790 Time: 15 Type: Small FFTs - stress CPU Min: 8 Max: 8 InPlace: Yes Mem: 8 Time: 15 Check the image attachment for Prime95 25.3 with multithreaded ability. After I found out about this problem, I stopped using Orthos and use the latest Prime95 build. Of course you can still choose custom for Orthos.
Ran prime95 blend+smallFFT, 8 hours no problem, at 380x8. Ahh... should I join the club and get the E6850?
Aiya... USUS cheap what. I can't afford a RM700 mobo. Unlike LiCh CHAIs... Yeah, single threaded one.. -a0 and -a1
LOL! I was just joking Yeah I do hate USUS paid ~RM600 for a broken mobo which vdroops like mad and couldn't run at 1T command rate. All reviewers are getting a cherry picked version which doesn't have such issues.
Mine is cherry popped. Inserted a 2 inch piece of silicon in her slot... But I really can't complain with this board. I love it to bits.
