ROTFL! That's one of the reasons why I chose Hong Kong. But no one here has any experience of Hong Kong, Macau and Shenzhen?
me. macau and hk is fell the same. too crowded. but i certainly love shenzhen. so big vast. and many pubs. haha
Well I can only relate my uncle and my xGF's experience so here goes; you can always visit "Lui Yan Kai - Hong Kong" (Translation: Woman's Street) for your budget shopping and snapping opportunities but watch what you snap cause there are VCD/DVD sellers there that doesn't like the attention. Public transportation wise, you can choose to walk, bus or the train but walking should be fine since the weather there should be slightly cooler by now and if you're lost, feel free to ask the policeman/policewoman there and they'll be happy to accompany you to your destination. Plus, our cantonese here in Malaysia does not apply in Hong Kong so you'll have adapt like the word: Take Away = Tar Pao (In Hong Kong, TarPao = Wrap Dead Body) therefore it should be "Ngoi Mai" else you're seriously asking for trouble and for GAWD sake, banana is pronounced as "Heong Chiew" (Translation: Fragrant Banana) and not our usual, "Kong Chiew" (Translation: Male Banana) That's all I have for now so hopefully by the time you fly down there, you should have picked up more from your friends and families.
Been to Taiwan. Taipei actually. VERY expensive place to visit. Can't afford Taiwan. I can only afford the cheaper places. Hence, my route through Macau.
According to Jason's friend, I can just walk across to the Chinese city of Zhu Hai from Macau. So, I guess I will spend a day in Macau and the next day in Zhu Hai. Anyone been there before?
aw, actually I don't think Taiwan is much expensive than HK, you probably just don't know how to find a good place. There's so many hot girls in Taiwan and the food, mmh . Maybe next time.
Well, my entry wasn't easy either. I had to either join a tour, prove that I already have accomodations in Taiwan or show them that I have a certain amount of money before the embassy would issue me the visa.
don't blame on taiwan, blame on China (since I think your country probably has no diplomatic relationship with Taiwan, it's all politics). Well, Have fun on your trip then, there's a lot of cheap stuff in Shen zhen, just watch out for your money, I heard there's tons of thieves.
