So I started my PC today and saw a "Get Windows 10" icon on my taskbar. I thought Win10 wasn't slated for release yet?
As long as you have a licence for Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 - http://forums.techarp.com/news/28658-windows-10-available-free-upgrade-july-29-a.html
Sure? Windows 10 will remove some features and apps when you upgrade from Windows 7 and 8.1 | Windows Central
AFAIK, it will remove Windows Media Center, not Windows Media Player. And it will have a new Mail app.
Many corporate machines are getting that especially if they are running professional edition. But they are not eligible.
Corporate are running VLK license, not entitled for free upgrade. Even if they do, I doubt they will upgrade anytime soon.
