First attempt at "product shots" - our makeshift prop was an empty white cupboard lined with white mahjongg paper. The white balance was seriously off though, in a makeshift studio with few lights missing, some white lights and one yellow light, so I had to correct the WB in PS.

Hmm...some harsh shadow. Need to diffuse the lights more. :D

It was the best I could do with onboard flash and not a SB800.. I need to get one by August, argh. So broke.

So what I did was to wrap tissue around the flash..

The white balance doesn't do justice to them Gundam models and I'm guessing they belong to Fyrie. :D

If that's the case, that's not too bad I guess. :D

Read my first post, that explains the white balance thing :)

Although, my attempt at correcting the whites rendered the colours of the model completely off. This was as close as I can get to the model's original colours (which is different from the plastic colours, because it's painted). Perhaps what I should do next time is to get little white halogen bulbs for the makeshift setup. Or maybe go dramatic, get a black canvas, turn off all the lights and set up backlighting, and tie the model up so that it looks like it's flying.... hmm..

    And yes you guess right..

The shadows are okay, IMHO. It's more important to get a clean, even background which is what you pretty much did.

If Zen's editing your pictures, he will be very happy. Hahaha... :D
