My turn to brag! My home network!
Wow! Full home network! Great stuff you have here!
I had been thinking of doing a mini home network, but I don't have those networked HDDs. Maybe later if my storages are getting full!
Btw, you can try to make your own simple wireless sensor network, like getting the temperatures of each rooms in your home and you can read it on your server. Just a small idea.
Wow.. That is quite an extensive network!
My current state of my network..
Very tempted to get a E2000 or E3000, but it doesn't make sense to replace a functioning router at the moment.
Asus @ Kitchen LOL, recipe purpose?
Yes and also some music streaming
LOL Time to brag mine!
Blue - 100Mbps
Green - 1Gbps
Red - Wireless G
Cyan - Wireless N
Ok since Chai asked...
I still have a huge ass spool of US made Cat6 in my closet... (I bought a box spool and crimp em myself).
I am pretty sure I'm missing a few things (lol like the Kindle)...
Wow you have a few gaming consoles inside? Is it for multiplayer purposes?
LOL, so which is the DHCP server?
Christ's sake!!! Just look at all that hardware!!!
Currently, Dlink. Previously it was the E3000. I may consider making the RVS4000 the DHCP server since it is the most powerful.
4 PS3s! That's nuts!
LOL!!! Seriously, your router is "overworked"!!!
BTW, why do you guys need so many PS3s????
You know.. it would be a good idea to split out the network diagram discussion out to a separate thread.
Haha sure can, maybe you can move those posts there as well
LOL! It used to be 5 PS3s in the house. If my brother moves back from college, then a PS3, a PC, and a laptop will be "readded"...
What can I say, we play a lot on the PS3 (secondary platform after PC)...
Every member of the fam has one (well my dad claims the PS3 in his bedroom is my mom's but its just so that he can watch bluray/netflix in his bedroom).
Which is why, when I eventually get a "N" router, I will have to really make sure it'll be up to the task...
If the current router is working fine, maybe you should just stick to it. Many wireless N router may not even be as good as your 54G.
Alternatively, you can setup 2 separate wireless AP.
My network in my Malaysia home..
- Internet - Aztech DSL605E - PC
No wireless The last time I went back, I borrowed a wireless-B router from sherwin/sherren
