Buy her a new car... Actually it was her birthday & our 10year wedding anniversary (10 yrs of putting up with me) and her Maxima was 10 years old (120k miles) and needed a bunch of work, it was time for a trade. Why not an imported Japanese 332 horsepower, 2 seater convertible. It's called the Fairlady Z overseas but known as the 370Z in the US. It is the 40th anniversary of the Z in USA and the 7th generation. As kids we used to thin of them as "Japanese Corvettes" but the shape has changed alot over the years. I had to beg the salesman to loan me the hu-normous bow. I hope I get some extra now...
Wow! Shit what an excellent present for her! Don't let mine see this. I was in this car during a roadshow, it is an improvement over 350Z, and wow, I love the driving position. Definitely a driver's car!
OMG! You got her the 370Z! It's also known here as the 370Z. That's very, VERY nice car! I'm sure you will get plenty of How much did it cost ya, if you don't mind me asking... Such cars are considered "luxury cars" over here.
LOL @ Zue! list is $48k, we got it for $42 and got $4k for 2000 Maxima. Do you have Maxima in MY? I get to drive it every Tues/Thurs plus I get to do all oil changes and car washes...
Never seen a nissan maxima in MY. USD48K is cheap. .. here a 370Z coupe not even convertable cost RM 370k! Which in USD per exchange rate of 3.4, would be USD108 .. argh .. I'll never afford one .......!!!
Well, Malaysia had the "maxima", called cefiro. But it was long gone in the early 2000. The fifth gen maxima = Malaysia's cefiro
Sigh.. I guess we normal folks can never afford to buy one of these... Even a reconditioned Nissan 350Z ('05 model) costs almost RM 170K (US$ 51K)!!! You can already buy a small apartment!
I wonder why it's so much more expensive in MY? Tariff, import tx, etc? Its closer... Dang! No You Tube @ work! :brickwall:
