Does anyone know how to set up an Aztech 605EU DSL bridge
with the firewall disabled
Maybe this thread from Acanac's forum will help you:
community.acanac.com :: View topic - How to set up aztech dsl605eu as bridge ,dsl modem only
Thankx for the reply "Zenphic"
That link describes how to set the unit as a bridge only allowing the use of a router thru the wan port.
A possible alternative.
What I would like to do is use all the features except the firewall and connect a 16 port switch.
The manual can be found here:
fxp://fxp.aztech.com/malaysia/ADSL/DSL605EU%20User%20Manual%20v.1.0.pdf (change "fxp" to ftp )
But I do not understand how to set it up
Whoops sorry about that
Okay I read the manual, and:
1. Log into your router's Menu
2. Home > Advanced > WAN > Quickstart > PPPoE Connection Setup
3. While in New Connection, untick Firewall under Options.
Switch PPPoE Connection Setup to whatever you're using, if it isn't a PPPoE connection.
Thanx fror the info,
I must have skipped over the page looking for somthing more complex.
No problem mate! Enjoy your firewall-free modem
