Wow.. You actually build your own stairs???

It looks very nice! Very well done! :thumb:

Do most Americans know how to build and fix stuff?? :shifty:

Man, I feel so inadequate now.. :shifty:

Smokes, I can't even fix a chair let alone build an entire stair unit. :) Kudos

    Same here. :shy:

I heard that many Americans learn to fix and build things themselves. Totally different over here. :wall:

That's coz it costs a lot to get someone else to do it for them, right? Labour is expensive there, and menial labour the most, coz no one wants to do it? (am I right?)

Yea, I like DIY... :D I do my own car maintenance (as much as I can that is.) It saves money and I kinda enjoy doing that stuff. If I can manage to pry myself from my PC though... :p

This task was actually brought along by a tornado that destroyed the stairs (notice all fallen trees). So far project is at ~$1200 USD just in lumber and over 70 hours of labour. :|

I fixed/assembled a cheap fiberboard table once and it collapsed later. I forgot the main nut. :wall:  :D
