i just overclocked.....

    my athlon xp 2200+ from 1.6GHz to 2.02GHz and i was wondering what the average cpu and pc temperatures are and if mine are too high what to do

    Woah.. That's really hard to answer since temperatures depend on a LOT of variables...

    For example..

    1. Ambient temperature
    2. Type of heatsink used
    3. Type of fan used
    4. Is the case well ventilated / open / totally closed?
    5. What voltage did you use?
    6. What other components are in the system?

    Etc. etc.. :D

    So, it's really quite impossible to give you an "average".

    very hard to average. if the majority of the taken sample are in Malaysia and a non-aircon room, the temperature will average out to be hotter than samples taken from someone in Switzerland.

    :D having said that - IMO you shouldn't even bother about average temps. just make sure it's 50 - 55c but never above 60c and it'll be great. (my simple brain thinks that way.)

    Just make sure it's stable, that's all I care. It can be unstable at 40C, what's the point of low temperature if it's not stable.
