Just came back. A glimpse of where I've been...

    The Tiananmen square
    [IMG]

One of the many lions guarding Tiananmen (supposedly 'The Gate Of Heavenly Peace')

The really huge and thick wooden entrance
    [IMG]

    The right section upon entering...

The centrepiece - entrance to the imperial palace
    [IMG]

    Stay tuned...

I was there for about 15 days. It's Autumn now and the weather is 'bout 5 to a high of 18. Very pleasant and cool. :thumb:

Tried some interesting food over there...including the authentic Peking Duck. :thumb: :thumb:

It was indeed an enjoyable trip...and the camera is a gem! No regrets. Most of the time using the vari modes...no time to compose properly as the many people around and the attempt to see many things in the shortest time is just...MADDENING!

More coming up soon (still sorting out the many pics taken...  ).

Autumn? Wow.. The trees are still so green! :thumb:

Did you spend all 15 days in Beijing?

My brother went there for 10 days and I don't think he covered everything there.

Been to a number of places which is about 5 hours away from Beijing. Yea, the trees around Beijing are still green but at the outskirt, started to turn yellow or red...how I wish I could stay longer for all to turn yellow or red. Should be quite a sight...

Great pics, especially of the forbidden city at night. I think their electricity bill must be pretty high. :)
