guys i found this , looks like celeron d is a hell overclocker. http://www.hkepc.com/hwdb/celeron512k-1.htm
to me it looked like Celeron D at the same clock speed as Pentium 4 is slower .. it just can have higher clock speed to beat a Pentium 4
yup but depends on the price of celeron d.If the chip is dirt cheap it will be good for value user, simply overclock to get p4 performance.
5GHz All right, bring on Conroe What cooling were they using for 5GHz and what were the temps like? I can't be bothered installing Chinese character support and even then I think I'll be struggling for an hour just to figure out one sentence
no idea wat kind of heatsink they are using in that test, seems like a coolermaster with power consumption of 69w i dont think u need a costy heatsink. Lets wait for a better review
Air cooling Without increasing the voltage they managed to bring that celery to 4.15GHz After +0.2v the celery hits 5GHz.
But that Celery needs almost 1GHz higher to beat P4, and P4 isn't really that fast... I'm sticking with A64 for now...
Like I said, bring on Conroe To me, all this is pretty much just a prelude. (Presler, Cedar Mill, Yonah)
More info here: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=88570 The Super Pi times are as good as an overclocked A64
the performance and low power consumption looks like a downgrade northwood with 65nm to me; which is great ofcourse
