Hi there, I'm not sure if this is normal . I just got a new PC Yesterday. DXDIAG : ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: - Pastebin.com And here's the problem : 1) It runs loud like a small vacuum cleaner on startup. FAN Speed : 6800rpm Temperature Reading on Bios is about : 65-69c I downloaded the MSI Control Centre and on the energy saving mode on the FAN and it dropped to 4.5k rpm which is very manageable but still noisy. 2) Weird temperature reading on idling Bios is showing about 65c ( bootup ) HWMon(CPUID) shows 38c Msi Control centre shows a steady 61c 3) Weird Voltage reading this is specially to highlight the +5v rails. HWMon(CPUID) shows 2.98 MSI Control centre shows 5.183 Here's a screenshot Can somebody tell me if this is normal or a cause to be concerned? Rough PC Specs is AMD FX8350 8 core MSI 970A-G43 16GB Corsair Vengeance ( twin 8GBx2 ) 1TB Momentus XT Hybrid SSD 500W Silverstone PSU Everything else is stock.
Did you use the latest HW Mon? I wouldn't trust the numbers there. MSI's own utility should be more accurate. If the HW Mon numbers are true, you probably cannot even post here.
Yeah, I agree. The computer wouldn't boot with the 5V rail at under 3V! I would rely on the BIOS and MSI's own utility more. Also, try downloading the latest HWMonitor - HWMonitor CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting. You need at least version 1.21 to properly read the Vishera package temperature.
i am tottaly agree with you it is a great thing and you have great mind chai Quote: Did you use the latest HW Mon? I wouldn't trust the numbers there. MSI's own utility should be more accurate. If the HW Mon numbers are true, you probably cannot even post here. thank you
HW Friday quantities tends Would you make use of the latest HW Friday? We might not believe in your quantities at this time there. MSI's own utility must be a lot more correct. If your HW Friday quantities tend to be correct, it is likely you can not actually post the following. ___Edwordstephen_______
To put it shortly - no, this is not normal. For one, HWinfo is actually quite trustworthy, once the support for certain mainboard is made. W/O support are the numbers WAY, way off. To me it looks like your temperature sensor give up and report high temps. Try setup the reading from CPU itself, or disable the RPM control and manually control the maximum RPM of CPU fan to reduce noise. ...and get better cooling
