They use like 3 or 4" thick plexiglass here.

If fired from close range it does not have the capability to break the glass as the bullet does not have enough time to gain enough velocity to penetrate through the glass.

Doesnt a bullet loose velocity over time and length?

Yeah, but it has to accelerate, but I think that'd all be done at the moment it left the barrel.

Yeah, the bullet reaches maximum velocity at the end of the barrel. It starts losing velocity the moment it leaves the barrel.

first of all, if he had an m60, i dont think hed be robbing banks :p

secondly, i must clarify things as a physics nerd...
the bullet will reach maximum velocity inside the barrel right after the powder explodes and horizontal velocity will remain practically unchanged throughout the duration of the bullet's flight. The only force that could affect this velocity would be air resistance, but in a short distance (for instance.. a bank lobby) this effect would be negligible....

Oh, I thought the bullet accelerates up the barrel and reaches maximum velocity at the muzzle?

Isn't that the reason why barrel length (as well as amount of propellant) determines the velocity of the bullet?

Why not? :wicked: No such thing as 'too much' or 'overkill'...
