As requested by Da Boss, here are some pics from Qatar:

Pic 1: The normal look you would have expected from a Middle East country.

Pic 2: The King's (known as Emir) Palace.

Pic 3: The soon to be completed zig zag building.

Sorry for the blur pics, i'm taking it inside a moving car . Will take more pics soon, whenever my dad is not busy with work and have the chance to go to the city. :D

From the looks of it, I'm guessing this one is for work???

Where's his real crib then?

if not mistaken, they are next to each other, but from the picture's view, i think it is behind the work place, and i din pass by it on the way back home.

but not much difference between the work place and his real home, i guess Qatar is a more "westernized" arab country compared to Saudi Arabia.

i guess there will be several pubs around, coz more than 50% of Qatar's population consists of outsiders, a lot from Philipines and India. and also the building's structure, it looks more modern. besides that, unlike Saudi, Qatar do not make it compulsory women to cover their faces when going out to public.

    thanks :D .

provided it's not in summer where the temperature can go up to 45 celcius, Qatar is quite a nice country to spend time for vacation. the traffic will drive u crazy, though.

Traffic's bad over there??? Worse than KL?? Is that even possible?

believe me, if cars can travel on a building, they wont hesitate.
they will start honking once you din take the chance, say, at the roundabout. it's not just the traffic, it's their on road attitude. i respect my dad for not being in any accidents so far. :haha: :haha:

More pics! the older part of the city, lots of indians shops. Again, taken from inside the car, so it's "fading" .

ROTFL!!! But are they really that bad? Can they be worse than our motorists and motorcyclists who can drive in the opposite direction??? :haha: :haha:

yes yes! motorists in Doha are real mad. they can sometimes induce a heart attack especially on a malaysian passenger like me.

which area are you at in Doha?

oh and here's a picture of one of the nicer malls in Doha-Villagio. my favorite place to go to on off days. :)

no, i've been there the previous visit, only not yet for this trip. Went to City Centre this morning though, and some pics too:

Pic 1: The athletes' village during the Doha Asian Games last year. too bad it will be brought down due to some cracks.

Pic 2: the zig zag towers. can see it clearer now.

Pic 3 & 4: City Centre, one of the shopping malls here.
