so you are suggesting Canon S5? but i read some where that it had a poor auto focus or something
Poor auto-focus? I don't think any camera these days have such a problem.
I'm in the market for a new digi cam now that my Canon PowerShot A75 is having some problems. I'm thinking of getting a Canon PowerShot A720 IS
NCIX.com - Buy Canon PowerShot A720IS 8.0MP Digital Camera - 2092B005 In Canada.
It's priced about ~$200. Is it the best point-and-shoot cam at that price range atm?
nvm i was looking at the wrong thing again i quess then i'm gona go for Canon S5 IS then
That's a good choice. It even has image stabilisation.
So does FZ18.
lol first you said that S5 is better than FZ18 and now it's other way around? lol i'm confused
but i like the rotating lcd screen the cannon has
I was just saying FZ18 has OIS.
Yeah, LCD screens that can rotate are very useful.
Hi Guys, one of my collegue is offering me NIkon D70 which is 2 years old. One thing I know is the camera is been discontinued by the manufacture.
May I know is it worth getting it now? on top of that im a noob and new bees in this SLR thingy..so plan to start at low first.
Ahh.. That's the DSLR most of Team ARP started with.
It's not a bad camera to start with, and it comes with a good kit lens - the 18-70mm f/3.5-5.6. You should be able to get the whole kit at a very low price.
hmm, guys..how bout Nikon D60 versus Sony @lpha 200. Which one will you guys actually recommend?
Yup, if it's around low RM1K, then it's quite worth it.
Frankly speaking, you should not worry too much about the camera body itself if you are going into DSLR.
First, you have to decide which system you wanna go with. Unless you are really LICH heh.. you will want to stick with one system. Using multiple systems can be a real headache and cost you a lot of money because the lenses and bodies of different systems are just not compatible.
That's why DSLR companies are introducing really cheap DSLRs to hook people into their systems. Heh.. Once you buy a few lenses, it will be quite hard for you to switch.
Ask youself how far are you willing to go? Buy more lenses? What lens do you want?
Thanks Guys for the tips
my collegue still stick with 1.2k
So i change to D40 with a whole set of 7 month of warranty left
The D40 is a good choice too. Better than the D40X.
D70 is a wiser choice if you plan to buy a lot of older AF lenses.
Yeah Im kinda fond of the camera but too bad, the bargain still stay above 1k only for the Camera + kit. Too bad he wont let it go for the price of lower than 1k
well i cant wait to get hold of my new toy hahahaha
Im sure I will have alot of noobs question on how to used a SLR camera by then need to seek guidance from all the sifu here
RM1.2K is actually not too bad, especially with the lens.
