It's not even 0.1C better lol. It's better than plastic because it's far stronger. The main purpose of water cooling is to use water to transmit heat, not air. Water is by far a much better heat conductor than air, that's why aluminium plate will not help the heat dissipation. Plastic is not OK actually, that's why manufacturers don't use cheap plastic. I've lost touched with water cooling, they use other types of plastic that doesn't crack easily.
wow guys thanks for info anyway i am making it from aluminum lol well i dont have much time this days so it will take a while
Wow, it's really cool that you can make your own WC stuff. I wonder is it possible that it performs much better than the ones sold current
Nope, it's just not possible anymore. Read this editorial: ProCooling.com It's the same for air cooling. I used to modify processor heatsinks to make them fit on graphics card back then. Now with heatsinks like HR-03 available, there is simply no point doing so anymore.
max you are not only one who used cpu cooler on gpu cards few years ago i used larg copper cooler on my old 6600GT also from thermaltakes cooler for Socket A and you can reach better thermal resoults with some home made coolers i know i cant get same performance like with buyd W.C. but i can cool my liquid with freezer and that will be better than buyd system but anyway i will see what will hapend if i use my home made W.C. i hope it will show better performance than others and for compare i would need quad core cpu and some other WC systems
Yeah, me too. I even attached the coolers to my graphics cards using nothing more than thermal paste! Man.. Those were the days!
yeah bro those were the days i still have some old gpus like voodoo, rivaTNT, gforce2 and more LOL i just cant trow them to garbage lol anyway they all works hahhahahahhaha
