My cousin, Dax, got engaged to his long-time girlfriend. Congratulations to Dax and Siao Chze! We all went to celebrate it at his official engagement party in Shah Alam yesterday. Here are some pictures I took of the couple, our cousins, their friends, etc. Almost all the photos were taken using a Nikon D300 with a Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 lens. Aperture was set to f/1.8.
Second set. If you have any tips on how I can improve my composition, technique, please let me know. Thanks!
Yeah, I will try that. Was trying to get a good bokeh under low light conditions (no flash) at f/1.8. Must see if f/2.8 yields better results.
Actually, I intentionally utilized the shallow DOF to focus on a subject while leaving the rest blurred. Only the last picture was a mistake. I forgot to turn on the D300's auto-focus. I set it to focus on the center pip, so it ended up focusing on the food behind.
yesh, eager. but its the other way round. eager for someone to cook, iron clothes, wash toilet for me
