Yesterday, I read a column by David Kirkpatrick of Fortune.com about Microsoft's monopoly and thought that I should bring it up today for several reasons. Reason no. 1 - It's about why we need Microsoft even though they may seem to stifle or even oppress smaller companies. If you are a Microsoft-basher, it will be a thought-provoking read. Time to let in some fresh air! Reason no. 2 - Mac fanatics are well known for their poetic vitriol and this column shows us some entertaining ones. Here's a funny one - "Microsoft is the Ford Escort of the software industry--very popular but with terrible quality." Hehe... Reason no. 3 - David's a Mac user. And he's defending Microsoft. Now, that's refreshing..., isn't it? Heh... Reason no. 4 - David makes sense. No, I'm NOT saying that Mac users don't make sense! Let's just say he has a cooler head! Anyway, Mac fanatic or Microsoft crony, you should check this article out.
