I tested my D40 with D90, the shooting is superb. I got one question, When i change the lens to Manual, it seems like not working. Is it normal?
Oh at the lens there's a A/M right.. when i switch to "M", it's not working as with per normal my D60 kit lens.. i cant zoom in further..
you do know that standard zoom lens cannot focus objects that are too close right? your D90 kit lens is 18-105mm VR? at 105mm your minimum focusing distance is 1.48 feet / 0.45 meter
When you switch to M, the AF will not function. You have to manually focus using one of the ring. Zoom is always done mechanically, so it should work regardless of A/M or M mode, just like your D40 kit lens.
I try to use the ring.. but not working..there';s a lens hood for the lens..the lens is own by my fren ahaha js borrow it to hv some fun
i think for that lens the focus ring is in between the zoom ring and body. the smaller ring. not in front like your other lens.
Why is there a need to manual focus? It is something that most people will never need to, unless the camera can't focus at all.
Just in case you dunno what we are talking about. If you dunno what u r doing, better leave it alone.
