To fix some of the issues on the previous 70-200, which supposedly reduce vignetting and corner sharpness issue. Having VRII should also improve the VR by up to 1 stop. It's my speculation for now, but this is what most are expecting. Nothing less, especially for the price.
I'll be keeping my old 70-200 VR I, thank you. EXCEPTIONAL AGILITY. CREATIVE COMMAND. - D300S Pro Perspectives
I'm soooooo wanting that D300S. I'll probably get a used 18-105VR + 80-200 f2.8, if not also I get the Tam 17-50 f2.8. The 16-85 VR would be nice but i think damn costly la.
haven't switch la. D300S is just so tempting with the 51 AF point + HD video. from what i read, some people say better just get 18-200 VR or stick with 18-55 VR instead of the 16-85VR. *cost wise, i'm better off with Canon at the moment......... unless suddenly a D300S fall on my lap. will let you guys know if it happens. *
I don't know about you, but I actually hated the 51 AF points. So freaking hard to select. I'm going to change it back to 11 points. I love my D2H's 11 AF points the most. Very fast and accurate, and easy to use, and all on the most common area of focus. 18-200VR?
for me, i didn't mind the D90 AF points (11 isn't it?) just that sometimes 51 AF point can be useful. either tried both, like both - still better than my 7 AF point.
I never get used to it. That's why I MUST have QWERTY phones. The focus points on D2 series are far superior to the new FX series. With cross sensors across the frame. Locking focus is fast and accurate.
