    Fall is here

Fall is here and winter is coming. And with a good hard frost forecast tonite I thought I should take and share a few last pictures of my "pepper project" of this last spring and summer.:) In the last picture, the Tabasco peppers are in the left bag.

I started it by seed last April.

Now the poor thing is outside freezing to death.

If only winter would not come here, they say it could live over 10 years.

They still wouldn't survive if you kept them in a greenhouse, right? :(

They still look really good though.

That's because the Tabasco sauce is aged for 3 years (in an oak barrel with vinegar and salt).

Though the many species of Capsicum tastes alike to me, the difference is how 'hot' it is. Chilli padi is hotter than Tabasco peppers, but it is nothing compared to the Habeneros (breathe fire when you eat those LOL - and the delayed action does not help).

Also white and black pepper derives from the same plant.

But steering back to topic, my aunt use to plant chilli plants, but the chickens would gobble up all of the peppers.

I don't take spicy too well. No chillies paddy for me, but Tabasco, wasabi and white peppers are fine .. ;)
