Hihi... I'm thinking of upgrading again. Still using 7600GT le. While I was just browsing through our local PC Depot website, ATI 4870 suddenly dropped its price from RM795 to RM680! It's actually the PWCL ATI HD4870 PCIE 512MB 256BIT and unfortunately, that's the best ATI card available in that shop. Then there're also: MSI GF N275GTX PCIE 896MB 448BIT - RM975.00 MSI GF N260GTX PCIE 896MB 448BIT - RM745.00 I just want to get my card from somewhere near, where I can chase the shop if my card's broken or something (just in case), had a really bad experience when I asked Chai to buy my 6800GT from Lowyat which ended up barely used. I already have below: CPU: C2Q Q9450 Motherboard: Gigabyte G33 (some OEM mobo) And besides the graphics card, will need to buy: RAM: Kingston Hyper-X KHX6400D2LLK2 CL4 (2x2GB) - RM245 PSU: Cooler Master - Silent Pro-M 600W - RM450 Any comments on the above setup would be much appreciated.
What are you buying it for? Is there any games worth upgrading for? I bought 4830 recently to get 4850 performance with low power consumption.
want performance and cheap, HD4830. HD4770 is slower a big, cost more BUT better on the power consumption side. there's some GTS250 going on for RM 430 only recently, I think that one damn value also, so tempting. btw for Penang, can try this one Welcome to Karom Enterprise - a friend of mine.
4770 rare these days lol...high demand but low on stock >.<..4830 also not bad wat (somemore 3xx nia! )
Don't forget that he has always been using the 7600 GT. He has yet to experience the joy of playing games the way they are meant to be played. Seriously though, playing with full graphics settings makes a great deal of difference. It's far more immersive and definitely better fun! I would get the Radeon HD 4870 but that's me la...
