Well, I'm asking for my friends. Any recommendation for pc, budget MYR3000 / US$1000~ for now, it is (the price is roughly rounded) ATHLON 64 X2 5000+ MYR 260 kingston ram 1 GB x 2 MYR 150 NVIDIA 9600 around MYR 600? (which to choose??) seagate 320 GB MYR 230 DVD writer MYR 90 Power Supply 550W(enough?) around MYR 300? motherboard around MYR 400? monitor around MYR 550 - 600(most probably BenQ 19'') casing Encloxure Wizard should be less than MYR 200 keyboard/mouse/speaker is exclusive from the budget. total MYR 2630 as for motherboard, I'm really blind how to choose a good one. What do we need to see to determine a good board? or should I go for intel ? the most important is future prooft Thanks
Intel Core 2, which series? is ATI 4850 better from NVIDIA 9600? because I would like to keep the card around MYR 500 - 600 any idea for the mobo? p/s. Is it if I choose AMD, I can only go with nvidia, or choose Intel, can go only with ATI? Not sure about this first time customizing
4850 is leagues ahead of 9600GT, even better than 9800GTX+ it some cases. Definitely the best bang for the buck you can ever imagine!
HELL YES AN 4850 is better than an 9600 AND answer to your question If you take AMD you can go both sides AMD brought ATI 2 years ago So you have the choice to take An AMD board with an AMD chipset An AMD board with an NVIDIA chipset Or even an AMD board with an VIA CHIPSET If you go intel you can go BOTH sides too Intel Chipsets supports CF(Crossfire) You can take intel motherboards with Nvidia Chipsets too And you can take intel motherboards with via chipsets too It's only your choice bro But i recommand you to take AMD/ATI because videocards are at cheap prices and ROCKS with REALLY GOOD performances AND CPU'S too
C2D outperforms amd proc now ><..even their lower end dual core celeron rocks ! hmm for that price, i'll suggest the E2180 >< Well, err if with amd, u can go both nvidia or ati..same goes to intel 4850..best value gpu card now
I agree on the graphics card portion only. Since you are clearly an AMD fan boy, no surprise you said that.
You could not go wrong with a p35 mobo, or better a X38, and a E8400 CPU Newegg.com - ASUS P5K DELUXE/WIFI-AP LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards Newegg.com - Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz 6MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor - CPUs / Processors
On the 4850 its looking good so far better than I thought actually. the price is decent as well and keep in mind the 9600GT is almost a year old now. Haven't seen any temps or O/Cing tests on the 4850 yet but stock at that price you can't beat it On the CPU I have had good luck with the Intel Duos personally on AMD I haven't had one in so long I can't really comment
Im not an fanboy im just realalistic. Here in canada the prices for the AMD Processors are just amazing for the performance! For that i say it's the best bang for the bucks
now, budget drop to MYR 2500 ATHLON 64 X2 5000+ MYR 260 kingston ram 1 GB x 2 MYR 150 Gigabyte 8600GT 256MB DDR3 - MYR275? (support new games??) or Gigabyte Geforce 9600GSO 384MB DDR3 PCIE MYR 425? seagate 500 GB MYR 265 DVD writer MYR 90 Power Supply 550W(what to choose?) around MYR 300? motherboard max MYR 400? Abit? Biostar? else? BenQ G900W MYR 595 casing Encloxure Wizard should be less than MYR 180 total MYR 2515 (8600GT) total MYR 2665 (9600GSO) still couldn't find psu and mobo
Err, for AMD right, i don't think it needs a MYR400 mobo. Well, I'll recommand getting either the Abit AX78 or the Biostar TA780G which cost around 260-300 + hdd these day are kinda cheap..If i can recall.. 500gb only cost like 240? Dvd writer is around 75 (samsung) bout that GSO card, it's possible to get it at cheaper price + with 512mb (i think)..Hmm, a decent 500W psu should b enough (i'll recommand Silverstone ST50F which cost around 249)erm, if looking for cheaper hardwares, maybe i could help you ...
the 500GB available at my place is MYR 265 for seagate and MYR 255 for WD. what about GIGA MA78GM-S2H HDMI for mobo? it is MYR 315. psu I think leaning to Silverstone ST50F.
The problem is you can't even get more performance if you are willing to pay a little more. Personally, I think E8000 series is the bang for the buck, overclock it to 4GHz without much issues. That is what value for money is.
Haha you have the point And for the GPU i recommand you the 9600 GSO... it's an really good card (equivalent of an 8800 GT) ask to mac daddy he have one and THE GSO version is MADE for overclocking (GSOverclocked) Dont take the 8600....
Yes the 8600 series is crap Adrian thats what turned me off the 8xxx series to start with Actually Bro I am running the Gainward 9600GT with the stock dual slot cooler. I am close to 13k on 3DMark6 tweaking things for a post on another thread
