Any major differences between these two?

Also, any other VLAN capable routers to consider?

Please don't recommend me cisco cus I actually a spare cisco 1900 unit, but it's big and is unsightly to be placed in the living room.

The key difference is triple stream N support, and even stronger wireless signal performance.

What kind of VLAN support do you require? For Unifi?

nothing fancy. I just need vlan tagging at wan side. my isp uses VID 10 for internet.

i must admit ihavent read that much about the n56/n66 routers, but it seems to me n56 is more stable? no? then again those threads i visited was many months old.

I'm not sure about 56U, but I'm using N66U and it is working quite well. There are new firmware versions for both models, stability should have been improved by now. But I'm still using the original version.
