Anyone recognise these suspicious-looking characters caught lurking round the back of the Petronas towers recently? fiddler
Eh? You guys got away with shirts? What happened to ties? Batik? Blazers? And.. who is the person with the cigarette off to one side?
1. I didn't want to appear under-dressed (the orchestra wears just plain coloured open-necked shirts and black trousers) 2. My minder and Personal Trainer (that's better ) fiddler
They/you do? I thought the attire was basic black at least. Or full tux for men. (Or does this differ from orchestra to orchestra?) Ah, I see! I worried that it was someone I should know and didn't recognize for a moment there!
Traditionally, especially in symphony orchestras, men wear white tie & tails, and women long black. Sometimes DJ. But some managers/promoters/image gurus think that audiences like something a bit different and informal. Some people hate it. It depends a lot on the location of the concert hall and type of audience. fiddler
Hey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know those people.... WOW! Orchestra? Champagne, caviar, etc...? Great to see some happy faces!
Ah, you don't know me though I was in KL with the English Concert to play some Bach and Vivaldi and found ARP before leaving the UK whilst searching for info on hardware stores in KL. The guys were so helpful and friendly I wished to reciprocate and asked if any wished to attend the concerts. Along came da Boss and Jenny and Chai It was great to meet No champagne or caviar, just fiddler
