Having refilled my HP 845c cartridges after a long period w/out using them,I ran into a bit of trouble.A forum suggested that I soak the printer heads in hot water, which worked perfectly for the colour cartridge, but only half succeeded for the no.15 black. It prints spasmodically, but usually ends up leaving streaks across the page.I read somewhere that ammonia & water can clear clogged heads but I dont have any.
Would a mixture of bleach & water work or ruin the head?
Anyone with a better suggestion for cleaning copper inkjet heads would be really appreciated.

    Don't use bleach!

Use isopropyl alcohol that you can find in the drug store.

Jammotto,Thanks for your suggestion, print quality is about 98% now ,which is a hell of an improvement. If I print a few more black rich pages,it might loosen up the last bit of crap in the heads. Beaudy!!

You might also try running the self cleaning procedure for the printer a couple of times, it should help with the remaining dried ink.
