LOL! I think it's meant to inspire others to pad their wallets so they can afford new toys! For me, my new toy in 2013 will be my home office (FINALLY!!!) where I get to have some privacy, quiet and SPACE to do some real work. It's been about 3 years since I've had space to do any real work....
My recent acquisition is a certain bowed music instrument. A student-grade. I don't have the pic right now due to the pegbox being serviced. Sucks to not play the thing for a week or two. I'll get a better handmade one when I can play another Beethoven song on it. Hopefully that will be when I have moolah to get one of these. I post the pic when I get the thing back.
Thanks. I have like 10-11 years of music experience beforehand, from playing classical guitar. Even took an ABRSM Grade 5 exam, but didn't proceeded to Grade 7 due to financial constraints (and exams). Playing a bowed instrument requires a different approach though. I'm still learning to bow scales first before touching a full song. Been learning this for four months, so hopefully I can play a very simple Minuet from the Suzuki Method book.

Although the X100s is a significant improvement over the X100, the quality of the free leather case has gone down the drain. So I ditched the case and got the Artisan and Artist half case instead.
