Thank you very much. The cooler is perfect. The temperature is less then 40C. My problem is not the heating. I made the memory mod too, but I think, I was too carefuly, because after the mod the memory went only 10Mhz faster.Next time, when I make the pencil mode again I will check the voltages.

Hunter, your GPU temp may be less than 40oC but you can still kill your GPU if you use a high voltage. Same goes for your memory chips.

    Always check the voltages! :thumb:

    Adrian's right

You have to check the voltages ;) Even if you sufficiently cool your highly overvolted card, it won't lasts long

I've got a bit problem. On my gexcube 9600xt is the momory regulator different like in the vmod guide.
    This is on the regulator:
    APW1175
    AG10S
Could I make the memory mod like in the guide?
    Thank you.

    Nope, i don't think so.
The 9600XT you own is probably a different version which uses a different PCB :)

My gexcube 9600Xt extreme looks like in the guide, just the memory regulator is different.

mind posting some pictures of your card here?

    Gexcube extreme
It looks like mine, but it is on my memory regulator: APW1175
    AG 10S
I've got hynix memory on the card. How could I make the vref mod?Thank you.

According to the datasheet of this voltage regulator......http://www.anpec.com.tw/products/download/pdf/APW1175a3.pdf

The APW1175 and the AC1175 are actually the same voltage regulators. The only difference is they are both manufactured by different manufacturers  So you can use the guide for your card ;)

APW1175 is manufactured by ANPEC and AC1175 is manufactured by SEMTECH

vref mod? You'd better avoid that, I heard that this mod kills your card incredibly fast

Thank you very much. I made the memory mod too. After the memory and vpu mod I could run lot of test with 621/864Mhz clock rate. The 3Dmark run with 634/877, before the mod it went only with 567/800Mhz. Now I became 5200 point in 3dmark 03.

    Hi evryone
This seems to be the only place i can find help so please.

I recently bought a 9600 pro just to overclock and mod
stock (400/600) i could clock it to 525 core and 600 mem.
I installed a waterblock and did a simple core volt mod,
now i get 600 core and still 600 mem, but this isn't my problem
I cant find a vref or vdd mod for the card anywhere and i know this is holding me back. i saw everyone saying its dangerous but ive got a 5900xt as my primary card so i dont care much for this one, just want to push it as far as i can!

Please mr :arp: How do i do these mods?

Weasel, we have two guides for the 9600 Pro. Please check out the following links :-

You can find the vdd mod inside the guides

About vref, i strongly suggest that you avoid this mod. This mod may kill your card really fast. Your card aint gonna last long (a month? two? :haha: ) if you do this mod to your card

Thank you both for the help, i built a pcb for the card on witch i can switch the mods on an off. ill try the vref once just to get a score then go back. i will keep you posted

Ok ive gathered some courage to go futher, i done the vref vmem and vcore mods and set vref to 1.4 vcore to 1.63 and vmem to 2.85(2.6-default) i tested a lot of different settings and got core to 643MHZ with no artifacts, the mem didnt go any futher at all, whats wrong?? stayed at 600MHZ. my AquaMark score didnt go up either(37200) could this be because the cores clock supassed the memorys??
If so this mean the samsungs 3.3'S are killing my 700MHZ Dream....... What to do What to do??

LoL! It has nothing to do with the core! Try to increase the memory chips' voltage further. If it doesn't help, the memory chips have reached its' limit. Don't forget to add some heatsinks to the memory chips :) hehe

The 3.3ns memory chips are rated to run at 303MHz  This is strange, the memory chips are not even overclocked.....

just thougt id update yall, my highest aquamark score is now 38140 @ 630 core and 630 mem. its obvious i need to clock the memory more. I tried the vmem up to 3,3 with no difference above 2.85 so... would it help if i increaced the cards memory latency??
