Breaking news...Steve Irwin has passed away, reportedly killed by a stingray barb through his chest. RIP http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,20349888-2,00.html
Wow. That is so sad. I loved watching the Crocodile Hunter on Discovery. His passion and love for all animals is unmatched by others. What a freak accident indeed. A very very great loss.
bad bad stingray im sure he had never seen this day coming... like.. killed by a stingray instead of crocs or snakes
Dang.. I thought it was yet another rumour. DYKT : Steve Irwin has been reported to be killed many, many times in the past? DYKT : He had been reported killed by a bee sting, a snake bite and even a crocodile bite. Never expected this one to be true... especially since it's such a freak act. Rest in peace, Crocodile Hunter.
DYKT I posted the same DYKT at the DYKT thread? I'm so embarassed. Fine. His death teaches us a lot: Never mess with stingrays. If you can't resist staying away from them, wear platemail.
Yea, but at least he died doing what he loves the most. He had so many years of experience knowing all sorts of animals, but they are wild animals and can be unpredictable. I guess he just lucked out and got hit it a bad place.
now, 1/4 of people on my msn lists, their nicks are embedded with a tortoise in front. why tortoise??? i dont understand. it looks like a croco because it's in green as well?
Yeah, I asked the same question to one of them, but they asked me to check the Wiki. I still couldn't find any answers. But I know it's related to him.
Irwin discovered a new species of turtle that now bears his name, Elseya irwini — Irwin's Turtle — a type of snapping turtle found on the coast of Queensland. [15] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Irwin maybe thast why ppl put turtle ?
Maybe...but I think it's lame, especially when people just blindly go along without knowing the significance
