Because you can't report your own bad post!!!
That triangle is a "Report bad post" feature. Mouse-over it and you will see the description.
The reason they removed it for yourself is because they want to prevent people reporting themselves!
okay... thanks for the info guys... cos i was about to ask the same question
LOL! Well, it's a new forum script.
Anyway, if you are not sure what each link or icon does, just mouse-over the link or icon. A tooltip will pop-up and show you what it is.
....and I thought I was a genius
aha--it says i have to spread reputation around before i can vote for the same person again, even if he has good posts.
Hmm.. Yeah, looks like it. Maybe we should disable this.
But I will need to check and see if this applies only to the SAME thread or all threads.
This reputation thingy is just like Karma points in slashdot.org.
I personally think that this reputation system is prone to abuse if someone wishes to get alot of "reputation" but hopefully people/newbies in here might find this useful in telling who is good and who is bad.
Either way, if its implemented, people will use it and I shall keep my Shinny Beatdown Stick close by.
drab, we have reduced the spread to 5 other users. That will prevent abuse and yet, give everyone enough freedom to approve / disapprove all the posts they want.
Yup, it CAN be abused.
Again, I want to stress that everyone should use it to approve / disapprove of another person's POST.
You should NOT use it to punish someone just because you hate him or he dissed you. Neither should you use it to reward your friends, just because they are friends.
In that case Adrian, gimmie back my 5 points.
HAHAHA! That's a good one!
arghh....too many words....must...try....to....understand.....arghhhh
Pity him... he's on dial-up...
grrr...dont remind me
But you are heading back tomorrow right?
voting 4 me stop?
I think there is a limit on how far in the negative direction a member's reputation can go!
Separate names with a comma.
