yeah, deer park is the codename for Firefox 1.5(formerly known as Firefox 1.1) basically i'm just testing the nightlies and help developers by filing bugs and such(as of now have not filed anything yet though ) anyway here's a screenie of my options dialog(you'll see this in firefox 1.5 most probably)
Brian, do you have a problem where the "find" feature refuses to close when you click the "x" for it?
no i've not experienced it with the newer builds....a check on bugzilla shows nothing much except that the x has been moved to the left adrian: Firefox 2.0's codename is The Ocho(codename for the old Firefox 1.5 which has now been renamed to Firefox 2.0 due to Deer Park being renamed from Firefox 1.1 to Firefox 1.5)
for deer park .. mine was on the left.. i remember halfway browsing when suddenly my deer park went crazy .. i cant type properly here replying post .. the "find" feature was "activated" and i cant close the "find" feature by clicking the "X" for it .. so now i'm back with firefox
Deer Park is the codename of the next major Firefox revision, Firefox 1.5 once Firefox 1.5 is launched the Deer Park name will be discarded
more or less same but there are new stuff and the browser's engine has been updated(firefox is 1 year behind in terms of development of the browser's engine) anyway if you want stability, stick with firefox, and wait till Firefox 1.5(which is just a release version of deer park appears)
About Firefox... How do I make the full where-I'm-at link show up in goto-field??? Right now I can see it, but sometimes I can't. i.e. It could say www.cnn.com even though I'm deep inside some article and in case I want to copy the link and post it on a forum or whatever it's impossible, all i get is main page. This is not an issue with IE.
Is it just my pc or does the 1.5 takes really long time to start, it takes like 5-6 seconds, totally unacceptable, nothing like the old version that started with no delay. And i can hear the hdds working hard, what is it looking for????
this is in response to the new security bug which was made public unfortunately Source: http://weblogs.mozillazine.org/qa/archives...builds_a_1.html
