Even if that article is for noobs, it's still the wrong way to educate them about running PC 24/7. Many people still thought running PC too long will blow up the system, which is not true...
I think TomsHardware also did a test of which processor would "fry" first. I am not sure if it was part of the above test, but they tryed removing the heatsink and to see which processor would burn out first. The Intel kept working without any problems (though much slower speed, due to thermal throttling) while the AMD processors were burned out every time in that test.
Well that would defeat the purpose of testing it for reliability. I don't think that neither could run without the heatsink. Especially the Preshott...
And that AMD burnt out test was done on the old processor and motherboard which doesn't support thermal diode. A64 should be a totally different story.
