Hmmmm.... My cooler only has 3 heat pipes. More is generally better, right? I think I'll look for a replacement for my current one.
Depends on a lot of factors, really. Construction of the heatsink, the base, the way the heatpipes connect to the base (and the fins), the amount and nature of fin mass, etc etc etc.
