i dont think there is any drivers for them because they dont really need them .. hmmm ... maybe you can try formatting the thumbdrive with another pc ?

Just to try it out (what have you got to lose ?) : 1. Re-install mainboard drivers (gotta have the latest ones !) 2. plug your colleague's thumbdrive back in, stop the thumb drive manually and then remove it. I wonder if this has anything to do with it.
grrrrrr.......didn't warn me need winxp cd. don't have it with me at work. now have to cancel the thing like a bazillion times everytime it pop up asking to insert cd...end task it also doesn't work.
