USB Thumb Drive unknown device

    i dont think there is any drivers for them because they dont really need them .. hmmm ... maybe you can try formatting the thumbdrive with another pc ?

    sfc ...

    hmm i did that because one of my drivers got curropted before :mrgreen:

    There was once where my USB flash drive became write protected after I unplugged it from the computer lab's PC without disabling it :haha: Luckily I'm not storing anything private inside the USB flash drive :haha: :wicked:

    Just to try it out (what have you got to lose ?) :

    1. Re-install mainboard drivers (gotta have the latest ones !)

    2. plug your colleague's thumbdrive back in, stop the thumb drive manually and then remove it.

    I wonder if this has anything to do with it.

    Oen a DOS window, type in sfc /scannow and press the Enter key :)

    grrrrrr.......didn't warn me need winxp cd. don't have it with me at work. now have to cancel the thing like a bazillion times everytime it pop up asking to insert cd...end task it also doesn't work. :cry:
