Weird thumbdrive issue.

    Well, my thumbdrive seem to be giving me some problem..first, copy files to the thumbdrive is very slow and then data seems to get corrupted (for files 100mb and above).does this actually mean that the thumbdrive is faulty? The brand is Emtec though...

    Try it on another PC, if you got the same result, then most probably is the thumbdrive.

    well, tested on both laptop and desktop..same also :(...can't be both usb slots are 1.1 o_O?

    Looks like thumb drive problem.

    Did you try reformatting it?

    already formated it..took me like 10+ minutes for 2gb :faint:

    somemore cannot rma it..can't find the receipt :wall:

    RMA need receipt? I tot just use serial number. Maybe can check with the distributors

    You only need the receipt if you want to RMA it through the retailer. Otherwise, you can directly RMA the USB drive via the distributor... or better still, the manufacturer.

    I did so with my two SanDisk memory cards. So much easier to deal directly with the manufacturer.
