What more... 4850 or 9800 GTX

    My config:
    - AMD x2 5200
    - 2 Gb ddr2 800 Kingston
    - DVD samsung
    - DVD lightscribe
    - Corsair 550 w
    - Tower Coolermaster-with two fans 120 inside
    - Mon 19 LCD samsung 931bw
    - 250 Gb HD SAMSUNG

    What give more better performance for games :
    4850 or 9800 GTX?
    The prices :in dolars
    4850 - 240,00
    9800 GTX - 225
    Hear in my country.....

    Well but the games , are performed for NVIDIA.

    4850 is only selling at RM500+ now. :o

    yeah, dirt cheap now with custom cooler..or you can top up a bit for a OC version ;)

    But even for non-custom cooler models, getting a 3rd party cooler for cheap is made easy thanks to Arctic Cooling with their Accelero series :thumb:

    Personally I'd go with a Nvidia 9800GTX+ only because ATI's drivers can be problematic.

    Really? How so?

    I had problems with their earlier Catalyst but their new Catalys 8.x seems to be good. At least I had no problem running any of the games.

    the problem only appear when running on certain settings in some games. these days their drivers always show improvements on many new releases so I'm not too worried about it because there is fix available and FAQ how to resolved it from ATi (AMD)

    AMD drivers have been getting much better nowadays. Only issue I know with my video card (IGP HD3200) is that the latest drivers don't work properly on XP, but perfectly on Vista.

    not to mention, the upcoming ATI 8.10 driver has included Manual Fan Control :D...Kudos to AMD for making it better...
