What? Headphones has excellent clarity, which is extremely important when comes to music? I'm actually listening using headphones now. Mine is just a low end antique Sony headphones, but it's still better than most speakers. If you guys disagree with me, probably you haven't tested good headphones. HD580 should be at least RM800-900. Edit: Spelling error.
I'm using a RM10 headphone which came free bundled with my sis's pc. Still working great. Got mic somemore!
I use my 10 years old Infinity Reference Series 5 for my music.....and I like good music no matter what types except RAPs.
Speakers will never beat the clarity of headphones. Since headphones are placed directly to your ear, most of the high frequency sound is not lost, unlike speakers. Even with my cheapo Sony headphones, I can hear distortion on compressed audio files like MP3s at 192kbps bitrate and below. I have deleted many badly encoded and low bitrate MP3s, because they sounded really bad. Even for speakers up to RM500, I doubt you can hear distortion on 192kbps MP3s, and my headphone was only about RM120 when my father bought it from Japan 7-8 years ago. Too bad it's virtually impossible to find lossless audios. And females have better ears than males. Ok now, back to topic!
