Out of curiosity, which media player do you use to for videos, such as .avi, .wmv, .mpg, .mkv, .rm, .mov? Also pick a codec pack if you do use one, as some media players don't come with their own codecs. ATM, I'm using K-Lite Mega Codec Pack for its ease and it comes with Media Player Classic
K-Lite Mega codec pack and Jet Audio for all media (Been playing with WMP 11 a bit as well no issues so far)
@pfelelep, not sure.. My current pc is clocked at 3.0Ghz though but max manage to play it without lagness ( i think his pc is clocked at 4.0Ghz)
I think you need a Phenom class processor or C2D to playback smoothly with 1080p contents. C2D runs it flawlessly.
That's normal actually. HD movies take a lot of system ressources. That's why new video cards come with HD acceleration capabilities to take the load off the processor.
XP codec pack windows media player for all audio real player for all videos except .vlc .mkv and .ogm vlc player for .vlc .mkv and .ogm
MPC for most video's, the ones that don't play on it I use VLC. Don't use any codec packs as they always mess something up, besides who needs 200+ codec's?
