Ooh, I remembered the Memmaker thingy. It's hard to use, and sometimes I have to use Smartdrv to speed things up, but in the expense of memory.
Wow... pro... I just find and use for my FreeDOS project only. Read already now also can't recall, anything.
I begin my computer life with a 386, so gotta learn all that if I want to play game. Especially chinese and japanese DOS *ahem* game.
486 when I was around 8 Somehow my Dad was fairly computer-literate at the time so I didn't have the same experiences that you guys did
Rich guys... The first pc that I touched was Apple II when I was very very young... yeah, very young. The first game I played was Karateka. Haiyahhh!!!
My first computer was a vic-20... I never learned much about BASIC... And buy the time we got that I didn't care anymore,,, Was allways out biking and skating... (And trying to get laid)... Fast fw to 1998...
Same here! LMAO. 1st experience was on an Apple doing Logo "programming" in kindergarten. Haha. Code: FORWARD 100 LEFT 90 FORWARD 100 LEFT 90 FORWARD 100 LEFT 90 FORWARD 100 LEFT 90 LOL! Those were the days. Oh, remember the days where we have to look for the mouse drivers with the smallest memory footprint and configuring the config.sys file to load sound drivers in the most optimum manner and installing memory extenders to get the maximum Base memory...
Hehe.. My first computer was a 386SX-16, although I've actually played a little on someone else's Apple II much earlier.
Long time ago CD-ROM drivers are very difficult to be set up. I still couldn't remember how to start that in config.sys: Device c:\cdrom\mscdex.sys /... ... ... But now they have drivers loaded automatically for CDROMs.
