Gigabyte and ASUS are both motherboard manufacturers. They produce a WIDE variety of motherboards for both Intel and AMD platforms. It depends on your budget and what you intend to do.

Gigabyte is cheaper, Asus is more expensive.

  5. I think you should go for Asus. Because it provides excellent features and technical support to the costumers.

I prefer ASUS if I can afford the extra cost, but I would go with Gigabyte over cheaper brands like MSI, etc.

Asus is good, Gigabyte is pretty good too, but just google up some reviews to see what are other people's opinion.

I believe there is no such thing as a perfect manufacturer. They do have some good models as well as "dont waste your money on this" models.

Chipset wise, i would prefer to get an Intel based chipset over Nvidia or anything else.

I agree. You should not select motherboards just based on the brand / manufacturer. Every manufacturer have good and bad boards.

Yeah, Intel chipsets are the best option for Intel CPUs at this point. NVIDIA is still not up to par.

Is there any new Nvidia chipsets lately?
